Story of the highest ever budget(70K crores INR or 16bn US$ or 7 followed by 11 zeroes – AND INCREASING) CWG(2010) leaked.

Our government plans to organize a game event. Followed by a theme song. So they planned to build a village where games can be conducted . Followed by a motivation song. They laid foundation for the village. Followed by a devotional song.

INTERMISSION. Citizens are eager to contribute more for the budget by buying snacks & paying more and more tax.

Construction going on. Followed by a happy song. One FINE day, a bridge collapses in the village. There is tension everywhere in the country. CBI suspects someone on the assumption that someone has done this to defame the country’s name. Interrogation starts immediately as always. Followed by an item song(to overcome the tension). While enjoying the item song, the roof of the building where item song is played collapses. Tragedy in the villages. There is more tension. Now CBI suspects more someones. SOMEONE blames some other country. Followed by a patriotic song. Further investigations like always does not lead to any clues.

CLIMAX

Investigation report has to be submitted by CBI. The report is prepared. This is the TWIST of the story. The report says it is the GHOSTS that is causing panic in the CWG village and not someone. Followed by a ghost song(to motivate people to kill the ghosts). The event is about to start. No one arrives into the village for the games. The event ends without a single game organised. No one departs from the village. And the GHOSTS live happily ever after.

New year, 2010, is just 2 days away. Actually the count down started in mid of november and i am eagerly waiting for it. May be your guess is wrong. I am not waiting for dharu varu party on the new year eve. So party’s not important. What’s important is i have a resolution this time. I hardly remember taking any resolutions on a new year eve or any other special occasions. But this is a resolution which i should have considered long back, i mean which i should have considered seriously long back. Better late than never. i learnt.

It was then, in the mid of november, a friend took an oath from me, QUIT SMOKING. Ok ok laugh. Even i laughed when i was editing this post. You heard, you read it right. Not again, right? yes, again. I mean for the last time. Its hard for me, i know, infact it is very hard. But still. And i know, you guys will encourage me as always and am gonna do it. Cheers!

Then i have a reason to post about my new year resolution. After i promised, that i will quit smoking from 1st Jan 2010(date decided by my friend), another friend asked me to make this resolution public(for the obvious reasons). And i am doing it. After all, we all care for our friends & family. Don’t we.

The time to depart to Bangalore from Kurnool. I got into the bus and tried to place my luggage in the luggage space, which didn’t fit into it and ultimately had to keep it under my legs i.e.. in the leg space. I sat in my seat and started listening to music in my ipod, still disappointed with the design of the narrow luggage space and the shallow leg space.

Passenger next to me asked “What time will the bus reach Bangalore?”

“HOPEFULLY, around 6:30AM or 7:00AM”

After that we didn’t speak again.

Monday the 13^th July 2009 1:41AM

I tried almost 3 hours to give my arse some sleep. It is totally uncomfortable to sit/sleep on this seat fitted to the so called BUS of APSTRC. Inspired by Idiots and driven by Suckers. There are three more things that are most disturbing / uncomfortable apart from the stinking bus.

1. The snake driving. The driver must have been a snake charmer or must be trying to catch some flies.
2. The Engine sound. I think the first tractor manufactured by Mahindra & Mahindra would have made low noise than this.
3. The drive Axle. It sounds like a 18^th century stand mixer.

Almost one year before, the bus broke down in the middle of the journey at around 12:00AM, just after 90 minutes of travel, while going to Kurnool from bangalore. I didn’t realize whats going on and was still sleeping,  while they were trying to fix it. I felt it was after a while, I had to wake up as they finally gave up trying and have to look for some other means. Adding to the party, it was already raining and the time was 3:30AM. The other passengers got into the passing buses, but no hope of getting a seat and have to travel standing. As the time passed by, we realized that the frequency of buses that would pass now would reduce as it was too late to expect the last bus from Bangalore to Kurnool/Hyderabad/atleast ananthapur. We[Me & my friend] didn’t give hope and finally got a seat, but it was a lorry. Whatever. We cannot stay on the highway for long in the rain. Finally reached Kurnool around 11AM.

And one month before, while coming back to Bangalore from Kurnool, one of the tyre bursted and within  seconds the other tyre got puncture. Unfortunately, both the tyres are rear tyres and are on the same side. The bus couldn’t move. I had to change 3 buses to reach Bangalore with little comfort.

This is not only my experience. Most of the people had a more or less the same kind of experience while travelling in the APSTRC bus.

The drivers are so careless about the comfort of the passengers. The sole and whole job of the drivers has become to take the bus from Kurnool to Bangalore and vice versa. Though these buses are categorized super luxury, I feel the oldest buses of bmtc are far more comfortable.

I think, after, the travel agencies with even a single bus came up/linked  with a beautiful online booking facility years ago, APSTRC came up with a online booking facility. Congrats. That looks like a project of a first year student from the old galli, kothapeta institute of technology. Hey dude, have you got your pocket money, HUH????

APSRTC really SUCKS now!

The driver drove the bus from Kurnool to Bangalore, with passengers left to their mercy, reached around 6:45AM. Thank God. Drivers must be crazy!

“Why did you kill me”

“You didn’t meet the expectations. There is a chance”

“Yes, I am ofcourse. We are a consultancy. Our job is to take you to the junction.”

Finally, we reached the junction. They seem to be confused on my ‘meet the expectations’. All my life I have been so lazy that I haven’t done either good or bad. So they decided to give me a test. They didn’t mention it’s a test but told me that it’s a chance to go to earth for the last time and can enter any body to spend some time on the earth. Hurray, I was excited. I asked them to leave me near a pub. I did wat I supposed to do, enter into some body. It was a tiresome day and hell. Lets have some cheers. It was 6pm in the evening on Sunday. Ha ha I am at the pub. The pub was not completely occupied. I checked out the people around and noticed a person in the corner. The fellow was having some shit brand. Anyway now he doesn’t even know what he is doing as I am controlling his body. I ordered my favourate 100 pipers. I had peg on peg, fag on fab, as its my last chance to feel the kick. 11pm. The waiter came and indicated that its closure time. I asked him to pack one more bottle and some stuff to each. I left the place and reached a park. I cleaned one of the table and started drinking on the table. Drank, Drank and Drank till late night and slept.

I woke up and to my surprise/shock I wasn’t in the park.

“WELCOME TO HELL”, said one person at the gate and asked me to show ID card. I showed my ID and gone for work.
